Rajendra Prasad Pandey appointed as chief minister of Bagmati Province

KATHMANDU: Rajendra Prasad Pandey of the CPN(Unified Socialist) has been appointed as the chief minister of Bagmati Province on Thursday.

Bagmati Province chief Yadav Chandra Sharma administered the oath of office and secrecy to Pandey today.

Ashta Laxmi Shakya of the CPN-UML had resigned from her position as she was sure to fail in the vote of confidence that was scheduled for yesterday.

Leader Pandey had claimed for the post of new CM along with the signature of 59 members of Bagmati Province Assembly at the Province Chief Secretariat on Wednesday.

Pandey had won the election from Dhading 1(A) in the 2017 Nepalese Provincial election.
