14 passengers injured in Dang bus accident

TULSIPUR: A total of 14 passengers were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident in Dang along the East-West Highway.

The bus (Ga 1 Kha 8485) was en route to Surkhet from Pokhara when the incident, occurred, police Inspector Shankar Shrestha of Lamhi Ward Police Office said.  The bus fell some 10 meters down the road.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the Lamhi Hospital.

Police said that they have detained the driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Ramakrishna Khadka, a resident of Sunpati Rural Municipality-3, Ramechhap.

The bus was carrying 16 passengers.

Police said that two of them were rescued safely.
