NEPSE surges by 62.21 points on Sunday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) surged by 62.21 points to close at 2,117.73 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

The sensitive index rose by 9.64 points to close at 395.45 points.

A total of 14,751,247 units of the shares of 275 companies were traded for Rs 6.49 billion.

At the end of the day, the total market capitalization stood at Rs 3.10 trillion.
Likewise, all the sub-indices saw green in today’s market.

Meanwhile, Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Limited, Himalayan Life Insurance Limited (HLI), NMB 50 (NMB50), and Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) were the top gainers today with their prices surging by 10 percent respectively.

Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) was the top loser today as its price fell by 6.81 percent.
