2 killed, 11 injured in Okhaldhunga jeep accident

OKHALDHUNGA: Two persons died and 11 other sustained injuries in a Bolero jeep accident near Rahutar, Diyalo of Okhaldhunga district on Sunday.

Police identified the deceased as Bhakta Bahadur Thapa (70) and Min Bahadur Shrestha (52) of Chisankhugadhi-3, DSP Deepal KC of the District Police Office, Okhaldhunga said.

Chisankhugadhi Rural Municipality Chairperson Nishant Sharma said that among the injured, some have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment.

Of the injured, three are said to be in critical condition.

The jeep was en route to the district headquarters from Chisankhugadhi Rural Municipality when the tragedy occurred.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
