Chaudhary urges government to make public Lal Commission report

KATHMANDU: Nagarik Unmukti Party lawmaker Ganga Ram Chaudhary has warned that they would hit the streets and obstruct the Parliament if the report of the Lal Commission is not made public.

Speaking at the Parliament meeting on Wednesday, he said, “We had time and again urged the Prime Minister to make public the report of the Lal Commission but to no avail. We will be compelled to obstruct the House if our demand is not addressed. We will not remain silent.”

Leader Chaudhary has demanded that Resham Chaudhary among others, who were imprisoned for life for 2015 Tikapur incident, be released at the earliest by amending the law.

“Either the state releases our people at the earliest or we have the guts to show the culprit of the Tikapur incident,” he said.

Chaudhary also condemned the arrest of the party lawmaker Arun Chaudhary by digging up an 11-year-old case.
