Woman killed in Jhapa elephant attack

GAURADAHA: A woman died after being attacked by an elephant in Shivsatakshi Municipality-11 of Jhapa in the wee hours of Sunday. The incident took place at around 2 am today.

The deceased has been identified as Krishna Maya Bhandari.

Seriously injured in the attack, Krishna Maya died in the course of treatment at a local hospital.

Her husband Shanti Ram Bhandari was seriously injured in the attack. He is undergoing treatment.

A group of four elephants including a baby elephant had entered the village from the nearby jungle at around 11 pm on Saturday. RSS
