DSP Thag Bahadur KC suspended

KATHMANDU: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Area Police Office, Butwal, Thag Bahadur KC, who was earlier arrested with 35 tola gold and Rs 2.5 million in cash, has been suspended on Thursday.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and Nepal Police Spokesperson Tek Prasad Rai informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs on the recommendation of the Nepal Police Headquarters suspended KC today.

A team of police mobilized by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on Sunday had arrested KC for taking gold under control and asking Rs 2. 5 million from a trader.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
