Though he has not staked an official claim for the post yet, he has started discussions with the senior leaders.

During a meeting with former General Secretary Shashanka Koirala on Tuesday, Deuba asked Koirala to help him become the Parliamentary Party leader, Koirala’s Secretariat said.

It has been learnt that Deuba had also asked Shekhar Koirala to help him elect as the Parliamentary Party leader.
