9th National Games: Paragliding player dies after falling off paraglide in Pokhara

KATHMANDU: A paragliding player died after falling off paraglide in Sarangkot during the 9th National Games being held in Pokhara on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Nisim Thapa (26) of Kaski. Thapa was representing Tribhuvan Army Club in the cross-country competition.

The incident took place when the parachute of the Blue Sky company on which Thapa was gliding suddenly fell 100 meters down from the sky this afternoon.

Thapa was rushed to Metrocity Hospital in Pokhara for treatment but the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
