AIG recommendation: Disgruntled DIGs file writ petition at Supreme Court

KATHMANDU: Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), who were dissatisfied with the decision to recommend the promotion of Basanta Pant, Dhiraj Pratap Singh and Rabindra Pratap Dhanuk to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG), have filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court.

Disgruntled DIGs Ghanshyam Aryal, Prakash Jung Karki and Ishwor Babu Karki on Thursday filed the writ at the apex court.

They have demanded an interim order not to implement the decision pertaining to the promotion.

A cabinet meeting held today decided to promote Pant, Singh and Dhanuk to the post of AIG.
