5 killed, 2 injured as jeep carrying wedding attendants meets with accident in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT: Five persons died and two other sustained injuries when a jeep carrying wedding attendants met with an accident in Rautahat on Tuesday.

The identities of the deceased and the injured are yet to be established.

According to Sunil Malla, spokesperson at the District Police Office, the incident occurred when driver of the jeep bearing an Indian registration number plate (BR 05 PA 6953) lost control of the vehicle at around 4 pm today.

The four-wheeler was  heading towards Chandranigahpur from Gaur when the tragedy occurred at Jaynagar of Garuda Municipality, Malla said.

As many as seven passengers were travelling in the jeep.
