Youth stabbed to death in Siraha

JANAKPURHDAM:  A man died and another sustained injuries in a gang fight at Golbazaar Municipality-6 in Siraha on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ramkumar Sadaya (26) of Golbazaar municipality-6, Dohatiya. Nikesh Sadaya (19) was injured in the incident, police said.

A group of unidentified youths attacked them with a knife while they were on their way home last night, police said.

Critically injured in the attack, both were rushed to the RK Medicity Hospital of Dhangadhi for treatment. But doctors pronounced Ramkumar dead on arrival while Nikesh Sadaya is undergoing treatment at the same hospital, police said.

The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, the Area Police office, Golbazaar said.

Inspector Santosh Rai of the Area Police Office, Golbazaar said that they are searching for people involved in the incident.

Following the incident, irate locals burned tyres at various places of Golbazaar and obstructed the East-West Highway demanding that the perpetrators be arrested at the earliest and free treatment for the injured and compensation to the families of the deceased.
