2 killed as bus hits Pathao scooter in Kalanki

KATHMANDU: Two persons died when a bus belonging to the Om Janata Yatayat hit a Pathao scooter in Kalanki, Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as scooter rider Ram Bahadur Acharya (35) of Dhading and currently residing in Thankot and pillion rider Yadav Kumar Sah (52) of Banke and presently living in Imadole.

Critically injured in the incident, Acharya and Sah were rushed to the Vayodha Hospital but breathed their last during the course of treatment.

Police said that the incident occurred when the bus (Province 03-01-005 Kha 9300) heading towards Kalimati from Balkhu hit the two-wheeler (Province-03-02-014 PA 7463) coming from the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati has impounded the bus and the scooter for investigation.
