CJ Rana’s call for talks an attempt to hide corruption: Former judges
KATHMANDU: Former Judges Forum-Nepal said that Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana’s call for talks was an attempt to hide corruption and to deviate from justice.
Saying that this would not be in the interest of the judiciary, the forum reiterated its position that the Chief Justice should tender his resignation.
The forum made public its opinion after Chief Justice Rana, issuing a statement on Monday, appealed to the agitating lawyers to come to the negotiating table.

Issuing a statement today, forum Chairman Top Bahadur Singh urged the Chief Justice to protect the judiciary.
Lawyers associated with Nepal Bar Association have been staging demonstrations for the past few weeks demanding resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana, who has been accused of seeking to appoint his brother-in-law as a minister in the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government and delaying the hearing of cases filed against appointments to the constitutional bodies.
