COP26 : PM Deuba to address World Leaders Summit today

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba reached Scotland from London to participate in the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) on Sunday.

Deuba arrived in Glassgow from London via Edinburgh, Scotland last night.

The conference is hosting a World Leaders Summit today and tomorrow with the participation of Heads of the Government, State and representatives from hundreds of countries.

PM Deuba is scheduled to address the World Leaders Summit on the behalf of Nepal this afternoon in the local time of Scotland.

Deuba is also scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Joe Biden’s climate special envoy John Kerry and other Heads of the Government and representatives of different countries.

On Tuesday morning Deuba is scheduled to meet Indian counterpart Modi and Sri Lankan President.

The COP26 conference, which officially started in Glasgow on October 31, will continue till November 12.
