Nepal football coach Abdullah Almutairi shows readiness to return to Nepal

KATHMANDU: Nepali national football team head coach Abdullah Almutairi has shown his willingness to return to Nepal.

Nepal had reached the final of the SAFF Championship for the first time in 28 years under the leadership of Almutairi, who was appointed as the head coach of Nepali football national team in April last year.

Earlier on October 13, Nepal’s Kuwaiti head coach Almutairi had announced that he would step down after the SAFF Championship final.

When the national football team players returned home on Monday, Almutairi was not with the team.

The head coach, who is currently in Qatar, has shown his willingness to return to Nepal while talking with the officials of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) including the President Karna Tshering Sherpa.

“Almutairi is positive about returning to Nepal,” Sherpa said, adding,” The head coach has said that he will come to Nepal.”
