4 of a family killed, 2 missing in Humla landslide

SURKHET: Four members of a single family have died while two others have gone missing after a landslide buried their house in Kharpunath Rural Municipality-4 of Humla district on Tuesday.

Dhanveer shahi, Kul Bahadur Shahi, his wife Asha Shahi and their three sons Alendra shahi(14), Hamesh shahi (5), Jas Bahadur shahi(3) were buried last night.

DSP Heramb Sharma of the District Police Office, Surkhet, however, said that Kal Bahadur Shahi, his wife Asha shahi and their two sons were killed in the incident. He said that Dhaanveer shahi and Alindra shahi have gone missing.

DSP Sharma said that they are searching for the missing persons.

He said that the rescue operation was hampered as the incident took place during the night time.
