PM urges Home Minister to carry out rescue, relief work

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand to carry out rescue operations and provide immediate relief to the people affected by floods and landslides.

Water level in many rivers of the western part of the country have crossed the danger mark and put human settlements at high risk due to torrential rainfall for the past few days.

The Prime Minister has also directed the concerned authorties through the Ministry of Home Affairs to carry out rescue operations in coordination with the province and local level, Prime Minister’s Secretariat said.
