3 dead, 14 injured as jeep veers off road in Syangja

SYANGJA: Three persons died and 14 others were injured when a jeep they were travelling in met with an accident near local Madi River at Waling-10 in Syangja on Sunday evening. The jeep fell 50 metres off the road.

The deceased have been identified as Dal Bahadur Palli (77), Ganga Palli (32) and four-year-old Karishma of Galyang Municipality.

Dal Bahadur and Ganga died at a Waling-based primary health institution and Karishma at Manipal Hospital in Pokhara, said DSP Rajendra Prasad Adhikari.

Fourteen injured are undergoing treatment at the Manipal Hospital.

Police said that 19 people were travelling on the ill-fated vehicle.
