Mother, son killed in Rupandehi truck hit

BUTWAL: A mother and her son died after a truck hit them at Sainamaina Municipality-5 in Rupandehi district along the East-West Highway on Tuesday.

Inspector of the Area Police Office, Saljhandi Diwakar Rijal said that the deceased have been identified as Radha Bhattarai (35) and her son Mahesh Bhattarai (19).

Rijal said that the truck (Na 8 Kha 4411) hit them when they were walking on the side of the road this morning.

Incapacitated in the incident, the mother and son breathed their last on the way to the Lumbini Province Hospital in Butwal.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
