National Assembly endorses 2 bills related to budget amid protest

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly endorsed two bills related to the budget on Monday.

The Finance Bill and Bill to Raise National Debt were endorsed amid sloganeering from the main opposition CPN-UML.

National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina announced the endorsement of the bills with majority votes after none of the lawmakers took part in the discussion on the Finance Bill and Bill to Raise National Debt.

The two bills, which were sent to the National Assembly from the House of Representatives, were sent back to the House of Representatives after the endorsement.
