NAC aircraft flying to Beijing to bring 1 million doses of vaccine

KATHMANDU: A minimum of one million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine will arrive in Nepal from China next week. The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) aircraft flight is scheduled to leave for Beijing on 8th July to bring the vaccine.

Managing Director of the Nepal Airlines Corporation, Dim Prakash Poudel, informed NepalPress that the aircraft was heading to bring at least one million doses of vaccine.  He said ” For now the decision is to bring a minimum of 1 million doses. The quantity could later be increased.”

Poudel informed that even if they had made a request to Sinopharm for the earliest supply of vaccines, it is confirmed that the aircraft will leave on 8th July. Speaking at a meeting of the UML Central Committee in Baluwatar on Friday, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also said that the vaccine would be available in a few days.
