Grocery stores to be allowed to open all day, restrictions on businesses loosened

KATHMANDU: Grocery and food shops in the Kathmandu Valley will be allowed to open all day from Tuesday.

Earlier, designated time slots had been scheduled for these shops to be open every day.

A meeting of the three Chief District Officers of the Kathmandu Valley on Monday morning decided to allow the grocery and food shops to be open from the morning till 6 PM. 

The shops and businesses that had previously designated time slots of operation will also be able to open every day from 11 AM to 6 PM. According to Lalitpur CDO Dhundi Prasad Niraula, it has been decided to allow conditional operation of these shops as well as other businesses.  

The prohibitory orders have been extended for another week.
