Prohibitory order extended in Kathmandu Valley for one week

KATHMANDU: The prohibitory order to control COVID infection in Kathmandu Valley has been extended for another week.

The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the three district administration offices in the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday. The extended prohibitory order will be effective till midnight on 2nd July.

Lalitpur CDO Dhundi Prasad Niraula said that prohibitory orders have been extended in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur.

Some more areas have been relaxed during the extended prohibitory period. The current prohibitory order remains in force till midnight on 21st June.

Situation in Kathmandu 

The Kathmandu Valley is still the most infected place in the country. A total of 548 people have been infected in Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

There are 450 infected in Kathmandu, 53 in Lalitpur and 25 in Bhaktapur. District administration offices have stated that the death rate in the Kathmandu Valley is also declining.
