A bridge was built to make it easier for locals to reach the district headquarters Kawasoti. Direct access to the district headquarters has been disrupted after the bridge collapsed.
Locals have to walk 45 kilometres to reach the district headquarters. This has become a problem for those who have to go for treatment.
Similarly, the bridge at Kaligandaki in Ward No. 2 of the village municipality has also been swept away by the flood. The locals used to reach Pokhara through this bridge. The locals will now have to walk for one day to reach Bhimad.
