PSP joining government, Mahato appointed Deputy Prime Minister
KATHMANDU: A group led by Mahantha Thakur of the People’s Socialist Party will join the government today.
Led by senior leader Rajendra Mahato, 10 People’s Socialist Party (Janata Samajwadi Party) leaders are about to become a part of the cabinet. Mahato will lead the Ministry of Urban Development and has also been appointed the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to PSP leader Keshav Jha, Sarat Singh Bhandari will be in charge of the Ministry of Energy, Anil Jha of Drinking Water, Vimal Srivastava of Labor and Employment, Uma Shankar Aragaria of Forest, Laxman Lal Karna of Land Reform, Chanda Chaudhary of Women and Ekwal Miya of Youth and Sports.
PSP leader Chandra Kant Chaudhary will be the Minister of State for Energy and Renuka Gurung will be the Minister of State for Women and Children.
