First batch of health supplies provided by USA arrives in Kathmandu, 1000 ventilators to arrive tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The first batch of health supplies provided by the United States against the COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday.

At Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US Embassy handed over the supplies to Health Ministry Spokesperson Jageshwar Gautam.

USAID is set to deliver 1,000 oxygen cylinders on Sunday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the US cargo plane would bring two more shipments within two days.
