President pays high respects to frontline nurses fighting against the pandemic
KATHMANDU: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has expressed her appreciation to the nurses who have been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19, working tirelessly to take care of the infected.
Tweeting on the occasion of World Nursing Day, President Bhandari expressed her best wishes to the nurses on the occasion of the 201st birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale.
“On the occasion of International Nurses’ Day and the 201st Florence Nightingale Day, I highly commend the devotion, sacrifice, and dedication of all the nurses who have been at the forefront of the fight against the global COVID-19 pandemic, working day and night to care for the infected,” she tweeted.
Today, International Nurses’ Day is being celebrated all over the world, including Nepal, with the slogan ‘Nurses: A Voice for Leadership, a Vision for Future Healthcare’.
