Bangladesh bans flights with Nepal effective today
DHAKA: Stating that the contagion of COVID-19 in Nepal has become dire, Bangladesh has banned flights with Nepal.
The decision was taken by the Aviation Authority of Bangladesh on Sunday. “We have suspended flights with Nepal for the time being to prevent the spread of coronavirus,” the statement said.
It is said that it has been decided to suspend the flight with Nepal from today until further notice. Bangladesh has listed the categories A, B, and C on the basis of risk, and Nepal falls under category A.
Those in Category A are barred from entering the country.
