Lalitpur police handed collected unused oxygen cylinders to Hospitals

LALITPUR: The Lalitpur Metropolitan Police has collected 159 unused oxygen cylinders. Police have collected unused cylinders from different places in Lalitpur.

Out of the collected oxygen cylinders, 50 units have been handed over to the much needed Patan Institute of Health Sciences Lalitpur, 30 units to Kist Medical College Imadol, 10 units to Bajrabarahi Hospital Chapagaun and 15 units to Alka Hospital Jawalkel.

The campaign has been launched after there was a lack of oxygen cylinders during the treatment of COVID infected patients.

A team comprising Acting Chief District Officer Lalit Kumar Basnet, Superintendent of Police Prajwal Maharjan, Chief of National Investigation Department Lalitpur, Chief of District Health Office and Home and Small Industries Department also monitored the oxygen plants in the district.

The Metropolitan Police Complex, Lalitpur, has requested the police to expedite the search for the stock and dumped cylinders.
