Kathmandu DAO directs management of COVID-19 dead bodies and cremation grounds

KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office Kathmandu has directed the Pashupati Area Development Fund to manage COVID-19 dead bodies as well as cremation grounds for the dead bodies. 

The administration has also decided to request the Ministry of Health to manage isolation of at least 1000 beds with oxygen in Kathmandu.

The administration has also decided to request hospitals to issue instructions for the management of hospital beds for critically ill patients.

The administration has also decided to jointly monitor effective implementation of the prohibitory order and tighten the restrictions on non-essential services. 

The administration has also decided to keep passengers coming to Nepal from international flights in quarantine and holding centers for at least 10 days. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Kathmandu district administration this week.
