Prohibitory orders will be tightened from tomorrow: Ministry of Home Affairs

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that the prohibitory orders in Kathmandu Valley will be tightened from tomorrow.

Talking to Nepal Press, Home Ministry spokesperson Janak Raj Dahal said that since Thursday is the first day of the prohibitory orders, many people are not aware of its protocol and the protocol will be tightened from the second day.

“On the first day of the prohibitory orders, there were some crowds and traffic jams on the roads,” he said. “We will tighten the prohibitory order in Kathmandu from tomorrow.”

Hundreds of vehicles and motorcycles were stranded in Sundhara, Bhadrakali and Ratna Park on Thursday, the first day of a two-week-long lockdown by the government. It is said that there was a traffic jam as people with identity cards left for their office at the same time.

Hundreds of people were seen on streets as banks and financial institutions, cooperatives, government offices, media houses have been loosened to transport.
