Vaccination with Sinopharm started from 23 centers

KATHMANDU: The distribution of Sinopharm vaccine against COVID-19, which was brought with a grant from China, has been started today. Vaccination has started from 23 centres specified by the ministry.

Vaccination has been started at Kathmandu Bir Hospital, Paropakar Maternity & Women’s Hospital Thapathali, Sukraraj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital Teku, Civil Services Hospital Minbhawan, National Ayurveda Research and Training Center Kirtipur and Nepal Medical College Attarkhel.

Similarly, vaccinations have also been started from Kathmandu Medical College Sinamangal, Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj, Shahid GangaLal National Heart Center Bansbari, Birendra Hospital Camp, Nepal Armed Police Hospital Balambu and Nepal Police Hospital Panipokhari.

Similarly, Om Hospital Chabahil, Kshetrapati Hospital, Nepal Korea Friendship Hospital Thimi, Bhaktapur Hospital, Patan Institute of Health Sciences and Patan Hospital have also started using the vaccine, according to the Ministry.

Kist Medical College Lalitpur, Anandaban Hospital Lalitpur, Dhulikhel Hospital Kavre, Trishuli Hospital Nuwakot, Barhabise Hospital Sindhupalchok and Rasuwa District Hospital.

The vaccine arrived in Kathmandu last week. Vaccination has started from today after the permission of the World Health Organization.
