Australia borders to remain closed for 3 months, Nepali students also affected  

KATHMANDU: Considering impacts of the COVID pandemic, the Australian government has decided to extend the period of international border closures by three months.

According to Australian Health Minister Greg Hunt, the international border will remain closed until 17th June. 

Due to this decision of the government, international passengers will not be able to visit Australia and its residents will not be able to go abroad for special reasons till at least 17th June.

Thousands of Australians, citizens and students are stranded in various countries due to the closed international border for a year. About 40,000 Australians stranded abroad have also been affected.

About 1,500 Nepali students are forced to study online by paying expensive fees as they cannot go to Australia.
