The PM and President pay tribute to Martyrs

KATHMANDU: On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli have extended tributes to all known and unknown martyrs on the occasion of Martyr’s Day. The PM and President expressed confidence that the democratic system gained from the sacrifices of the martyrs has been institutionalized and that all are inspired to move forward in the interest of society and the nation.

Paying homage to all the martyrs, President Bhandari said that the real tribute to the martyrs would be to move towards achieving lasting peace, good governance and prosperity through the federal democratic republican system achieved through their sacrifices.

Aiming at the current volatile political situation, the Prime Minister’s statement said, “We must all work together to overcome the challenges posed to the country’s aspirations for development and prosperity by disrupting stable politics.”
