Government transfers six joint secretaries

KATHMANDU: The government has transferred and reshuffled the responsibilities of six joint secretaries.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, transferred six joint secretaries by taking a ministerial decision on Tuesday.

Director General of the Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection Prakash Paudel has been transferred to the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. Preparations are underway to send him to the Department of Revenue Investigation.  Director General of Department of Revenue Investigation Ram Prasad Acharya has been transferred to the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers in Gandaki Province.

Similarly, Joint Secretary Badri Bahadur Khadka of Department of Health Services has been transferred to the newly formed Health Ministry in Bagmati Province and Padam Raj Mainali of National Reconstruction Authority to the Ministry of Urban Development.

Likewise, Deputy Director General of Department of Revenue Investigation Shiva Lal Tiwari has been transferred to the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and Kishan Lal Bhatta, who was transferred recently from the Ministry of Agricultural, Land Management and Cooperatives, Sudurpaschim, to the Ministry of Agricultural, Land Management and Cooperatives in Karnali Province.
