Ready to resolve problems of cooperatives, but no person-centric probe committee will be formed: RSP

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party has said that there is no need of a parliamentary probe committee as demanded by the Nepali Congress to investigate fraud charges against party President and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.

Though the party is ready to resolve the problems of cooperatives, it has decided to reject the demand put forth by the Nepali Congress, a leader who attended the Parliamentary Party meeting of the party said.

Lawmaker Manish Jha said that no further discussions were held on the parliamentary probe committee as that was not their demand.

“The issue could be discussed in the meeting called by the Speaker today. The party’s decision is that there is no need of a parliamentary probe committee. We are for resolving the whole problem of cooperatives. Our party President has already made everything clear. We are ready to solve all the problems,” he said.

Leader Jha said that the meeting discussed preparations about the upcoming budget session.
