Opposition parties to allow Home Minister Lamichhane to speak in Parliament

KATHMANDU: The opposition parties have decided to allow Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane to speak in Parliament about the allegations levelled against him.

A meeting held on Sunday made the decision to this effect, Rastriya Prajatantra Party spokesperson Gyanendra Shahi said.

The meeting of the opposition parties held this morning also decided to allow the House to proceed with its business only if they are satisfied with Home Minister Lamichhane’s answer.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s plan to take a vote of confidence will also be affected if the opposition parties continue to obstruct the Parliament.
