Dangi injured in RPP’s protest dies in hospital

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party leader Thakur Prasad Dangi, who was critically injured in a clash with police during the party’s protest in Kathmandu, died in the course of treatment at the hospital on Monday.

He breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Chhauni-based Army Hospital at around 4 am today, RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said.

Dangi is the municipal chairman of Madhuwa, Bardiya.

He was taken to the hospital after he sustained injuries in the clash.

His body will be kept at the party central office today for final tributes.
