Police arrest RPP Chief Whip Gyanendra Shahi

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chief Whip Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi.

Shahi along with other party cadres were apprehended while staging a demonstration by breaching the restricted area.

Police have been using force in the protest of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party.

A party cadre was seriously injured from the police action, RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said.

The mob was dispersed after police lobbed teargas canisters and employed a water cannon.
