Congress decides to withdraw support extended to Dahal-led government

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has decided to withdraw its support extended to the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government.

A Central Work Execution Committee meeting held at party President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha made the decision to this effect.

Vice-President Dhan Raj Gurung said that the party has decided to stay in opposition by withdrawing the support extending to the government after Dahal changed the alliance.

After the Congress withdrew the support, Prime Minister Dahal now has to seek a vote of confidence within a month.
