1 killed, 4 injured in Janakpur school bus hit

JANAKPURDHAM: A woman died and four others were injured after being hit by a school bus at Binhi in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-23 on Sunday.

Following the incident, locals obstructed the Janakpur-Jaleshwor road section.

They have been staging a demonstration against the police administration by burning tires.

Police fired teargas shells and resorted to baton charge after the locals tried to set the bus on fire. Police are trying to open the road.

Local Rakhi Devi Yadav (35) died after being hit by an over-speeding bus belonging to the Angels Secondary Boarding School in Janakpurdham-9, police said.

The injured have been taken to Janakpurdham for treatment.

A large number of security personnel have been deployed at the incident site.
