Mahato quits Loktantrik Samajbadi Party

KATHMANDU: Leader Rajendra Mahato announced a new campaign by quitting the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party on Monday.

Organizing a special press conference today, he announced a ‘National Liberation Revolution’ campaign by quitting the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party led by Mahantha Thakur.

He presented the goal of establishing a ‘multi-national state’.

Saying that the campaign would prepare all the infrastructure from formation of the party, he said that the campaign would be open to all the parties like Loktantrik Samajbadi Party and Janata Samajbadi Party, CPN-UML, Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre).

Prior to this, Mahato was a senior leader of the LSP.

After the split of Janata Samajbadi Party, Thakur and Mahato among others formed the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party.

Saying that the party could not gain momentum, he has been criticising Thakur.
