House meeting adjourned due to obstruction of opposition parties

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives has been postponed for 15 minutes due to the obstruction by the opposition parties including the main opposition CPN-UML.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced the adjournment of the meeting for 15 minutes after lawmakers from the UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party among others raised various issues and resorted to sloganeering.

Despite repeated requests from Speaker Ghimire to help in the running the House, the lawmakers stood up from their seats, leading to the adjournment.
