Madhesh CM Yadav seeking vote of confidence for third time today, PA meeting summoned for 2 pm

JANAKPURDHAM: Madesh Pradesh Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav is seeking a vote of confidence for the third time at the Province Assembly on Sunday.

As Chief Minister Yadav is seeking a vote of confidence, the Province Assembly meeting has been called for 2 pm today.

The Province Assembly Secretariat said that Chief Minister Yadav is taking a vote of confidence at 2 pm today as per Article 188 (2) of the Constitution.

He is seeking a vote of confidence after the Janamat Party quit the government and recalled its ministers.

There are 107 lawmakers in Madhesh Pradesh.

It has been learnt that the largest party CPN-UML will not give a vote of confidence to the chief minister.

A UML lawmaker said that it has not been confirmed as of now whether to give a vote of confidence or not.

The ruling coalition parties—Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN (US)—lawmakers are not happy with the working style of Chief Minister Yadav.

It has been understood that all the ruling coalition parties, however, will give a vote of confidence to Chief Minister Yadav at the pressure of central leaders of the coalition.
