Nepali man commits suicide in America

KATHMANDU: A Nepali man, Arjun Mainali, who had donated blood more than 200 times, committed suicide in America.

His body was found at the Latta Nature Preserve-based Park in North Carolina.

According to the information provided by American resident Purushottam Dhakal, police recovered the charred body of Mainali from the hired car.

The car, which he had hired to reach the park, was also found burnt.

It has been suspected that Mainali committed suicide by setting the car on fire.

The paramedical team of the North Carolina Police has taken the body of Mainali for investigation, Dhakal said.

According to a preliminary investigation, Mainali had written a long status on Facebook, saying that he was going to commit suicide.

Mainali of Kavre had been living in the United States 2007/2008.
