61 kg gold smuggling case: Interpol issues arrest warrant against Amala Roka

KATHMANDU: The International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) has issued an arrest warrant against Amala Roka, who has been absconding in the 61 kg gold smuggling case.

The Interpol issued an arrest warrant at the request of Nepal Police.

She is the wife of Dawa Tsering who has been arrested in this scam.

A Belgian citizen, Tsering is the owner of the Thamel-based Hotel Vienna.

The gold concealed in the brake shoes, which had passed the airport customs undetected, was seized by a team of the Revenue Investigation Department from Sinamangal.

The Crime Investigation Bureau (CIB) has filed a charge sheet by carrying out an investigation.
