Judge Giri’s wife Arati Rawal tries to consume poison at Shanti Batika (With video)

KATHMANDU: Judge Bhuwan Giri’s wife Arati Rawal has attempted to consume poison after the city police took her out of the Shanti Batika in Ratna Park on Tuesday.

The city police, however, stopped her immediately.

Rawal has been staging a hunger strike for the past 24 days in Shanti Batika demanding that her husband be investigated by keeping him in custody.

She had also registered a marital rape case against him.

The city police this morning chased away those staging a hunger strike and sit-in at Shanti Batika.

Along with them, Rawal was also taken out from the Shanti Batika.
