Police constable killed in Hetauda bike hit

HETAUDA: A police man died after being hit by a motorbike in Hetauda on Wednesday.

The two-wheeler hit a team of police personnel while they were running for physical training at Thanabharyang along the Hetauda-Nawalpur road section this morning.

Police Constable Binod Eddy (25) of Alitaal Rural Municipality-6 died after being hit by the motorbike (Na 4 Pa 222) heading towards Nawalpur from Hetauda.

Incapacitated in the incident, he was rushed to the Hetauda Hospital but breathed his last during the course of treatment, the District Police Office, Makawanpur said.

Two policemen and the bike rider were also injured in the incident.

The injured policemen have been identified as police Constable duo Nawaraj Sarki and Binod Khatri.

Bike rider Ganesh Lama (41), who was also injured in the accident, has been taken to Chitwan for further treatment, police said.
