Protest staged at Pashupati area demanding resignation of Minister Kiranti (With photos)

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Sanatan Dharma Sanskriti Sangathan staged a demonstration in the Pashupati area demanding resignation of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kiranti.

The members of the organization staged the demonstration against the remarks of the Minister Kiranti made in a public programme.

During a programme of the Christians held in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Minister Kiranti, who presided over the event as chief guest, called those who do not believe in Christianity as anti-constitutional and traitors.

“The Constitution of Nepal has given freedom to follow their own religion. Those who protest against Christianity are anti-constitutional and traitors. They should be kept in jail,” he said.

Minister Kiranti is being criticised for the same remarks everywhere.

Speaking at the protest programme, Nepal Sanatan Dharma Sanskriti Sangathan Chairman Pushpa Raj Purush said that it is wrong to spread hatred against another community.
